This past Sunday on Lag Baomer, was the third Yartzeit of Nosson Deitsch OBM. To mark this day, his friends and family got together to dedicate a Torah in his name.
The event was attended by his family, many of his friends, Roshei Yeshivos, Rabanim, Mashpim, and many distinguished members of the community.
The Torah was marched through the streets with all of the attendees dancing and singing to honor the completion, and to join in the Simcha Shel Torah.
The Torah was brought to Nosson’s shul which is located at 534 Empire Blvd, a Shul which was dedicated in honor of Nosson on his first yartzeit. The Shul has since grown to a flourishing community with daily and weekly Minyanim, Shiurum, and many other special events.
Nosson’s Shul would like to thank all those who participated in the event to make it the special occasion it was.
