It is every Shlucha’s dream to attend the Kinus Hashluchos, and take part in the workshops and sessions, meals and farbrengins in the spirit of Achdus.
As every year the Vaad Hakinus and the many shluchus invest hundreds of hours to insure the most successful event possible.
However, the Kinus Office received many phone calls from Shluchos in different parts of the world, who anticipate coming to the Kinus but unfortunately don’t have a place to stay. The incredible Hachnosas Orchim of the Crown Heights families is legendary and we once again would like to call upon it. We turn to you to please open your home to a fellow Shlucha.
If you would be able and willing to host a Shlucha during the Kinus (February 15-20) please email Shluchos@Kinus.com or call 718.774.4000 ext #280
it was her pleasure to host! she just wants and probably needs a spiritual boost! shlichus didn’t come to everybody who wanted it and crown heights can be a tough place to live and surprise surprise can be pretty lonely too for those who don’t have family and are from out of town originally.
It was very inspiring and there were plenty of other CHs ladies there, too. What is wrong with a hostess (usually many times over) wanting a chance to participate? Why not invite all those who host a shlucha to attend the banquet? We are all shluchos of the Rebbe, even those in CHs.
this shlucha works and lives in a foreign environment on a DAILY basis-bringing yiddishkeit into places that are often hostile to its message. all she is asking for is the chance to revitalize her energies-B’RUCHNIYUS-so that she can continue her task with the proper tools necessary. She is facing an uphill battle daily fraught with lots of challenges, and she needs to gather strength somewhere- an opportunity provided by the kinus hashluchos. While it may be hard to believe, there are many shluchos living in dire circumstances around the world who are doing the Rebbe’s work, and are in great… Read more »
…if she or her children actually go on shlichus. If you want to benefit, join the club! If you can’t go on shlichus, convince your children to go! (Ya, it is hard to have them leave to some hick town on the other side of the world, but that is the price all shluchim’s parents pay! You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
true you are correct in the world of giving and the merit one truly receives to the point you will not even accept anything for the mitzvah – but hakoros hatov and inparticular the request is more of ruchnichus gain for this person! what is she asking for? to be able to attend the kinus ! one of the most uplifting energized places one can get spiritually charged ! the benfits are tremondous! giving her the hostess a sense of chassidishe PRIDE TO BE PART OF THIS AWESOME EVENT WHERETHE REBBE GAVE SO MUCH KOACH TOO! she will feel part… Read more »
