#24, who are you?
Looking good!
Crown heights is not your average community, and as soon as some ppl learn that and stop comparing it to every other place that has an Eiruv or whatever else it is, they will be better off!
that is not true, every chabad community and bungalow has a eruv, there are hundreds of young children and adults that carry on shabbos in CH and if we would have a eruv we would help these people be less mechalel shabbos
Nice benches. In Bed Stuy they don’t have backs so uncomfortable to hang out to long. I guess thAt is why ours are the designer benches.
Suggestion: in Highland Park, NJ the city also put in large pots with flowers along the main road. Kingston would look nice with such an addition. They also have nice looking garbage cans at frequent intervals with half of the “station” being designated for recycling.
Now the shnorrers have a work location and station. Will each one claim a part of a bench as their “office?” Maybe they can put name tags on each place…
I assume there won’t be only Jews sitting on them. What do you think.
Can you remove the one which was wisely placed by the women’s entrance on Kingston it is not really appropriate for men to be ‘hanging out’ there.
Otherwise they look great!
any one who does a good deed to buteauffy our Shechuno needs credit , this time it is my brother in law Sholom Ber Goldstein , son of the famous Uncle Yossi
Reb Asi!!
Every other neighborhood has an eiruv, except Crown Heights, That will be so appreciated if you can get us an eiruv.
That kids grow up not realizing that some city’s don’t have a eruv and end up carrying on shabbos c”v
The rebbe was against it for a few reasons including
1: there is no fool proof way to insure it’s integrity during shabbos
2: to make alter rebbe eruv around a big city is very hard if not impossible
3: you get the problem we have on tishray with the israelys
The Rebbe was against it
to the taxpayers those benches exist.
but they cannot fix alternate side of the street Parking 6 Days a Week, encluding Shabbos, on Eastern Pkwy.
I love your additions to crown heights
Please work on an eiruv! Every shabbos I’m stuck withy he kids in the house! And when that baby finally learns to walk the next kid is born!!! Eiruv will definitely add to the oneg of shabbos. I don’t know if the Rebbe was against it or not… But please do research and if there’s no reason not too then go ahead!
Also some people who don’t hold by it don’t have to go by it and Sholom al yisroel!
Thanks sb Goldstein for your tireless work for the crown heights community
Thank you SB goldstien for your devotion to the shchuna
Beautiful to see our community being active to enhance our living conditions.
on to many more!
Get them to clean the streets once a week on each side, and get rid of it on shabbos on EP
great to see the 3 gedolei hador, ubifrat Baal “Simchas Melech” on the bentsh!
Now can you arrange for them outside Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Saks, & Bloomie’s? My feet hurt! 😉
