In what seems to have been a first, the entire Tanya was studied in one sitting in Williamsburg.
The Kinus Hashluchos session entitled “All of Tanya in an Hour” was packed with shluchos who wanted to get the now famous fast-paced Tanya overview from Rabbi Shais Taub.
Based on his Map of Tanya which was published by Kehos in 2005, Rabbi Taub presented his trademark overview of the 53 chapters of Tanya at a whirlwind speed.
Taub was also the author of the most successful JLI course of all time, Soul Maps, which was also based on his style of giving an overview of the structure and flow of Tanya.
An author and lecturer who became well known in the wider world for his work in addiction, Taub says that everything he knows really comes from Tanya.
“Tanya is the basis for everything,” he told Shluchos. “When your knowledge of Tanya is solid, then whole worlds open up for you. That is what I am trying, in my own way, to give to everyone who wants it.”
As COLlive reported last month, Taub has just finished another work on Tanya, a new commentary on Shaar HaYichud VeHaEmunah geared specifically for Chabad centers.
Wouldn’t this be a great way to introduce our children to the overall book of Tanya in school.
Shais Taub teaching Tanya is one of the best kept secrets in Lubavitch.
This should be a required class in every one of our mosdos.
keep it up, shaisicle!
lucky ladies who were in attendance! r taub brings it down like no other
Please post a video or put a link to a the video of Rabbi Taub going over Tanya. Thank You! Would love to hear!
col can you please put up the video of this presentation?
I love the way Shais Taub explains chasidus. He should give more shiurim to anash, not just lectures to chabad houses.
Looking forward to the next TANYA commentary of R.Taub
