Camp Gan Yisroel-Florida, under the auspices of Rabbi Yossi Biston and Rabbi Yossi Goldblatt, located in the heart of Central Florida, just a short 45 minutes away from Orlando, is proud to announce an exciting and groundbreaking program for summer 5773/2013.
As this summer marks the 7th year of camp’s existence, and coincides with the 200th year of the passing of the Alter Rebbe, the Head Staff have launched a project entitled “Club 200 & 7”.
The goal of the project is to inject an extra special dose of excitement in the day-to-day schedule of the camp, with campers being able to enjoy exclusive rewards on a daily basis for their added participation in Davening and Learning Classes.
Building upon the fabulous rewards system that CGI Florida is well known for, including their legendary Rebbe Albums, which have been copied and distributed to many schools and camps around the world, the Head Staff have secured the use of a Siddur that was used by the Rebbe, and will be a key part of the rewards system, rewarding campers who excel in the above areas to use the Rebbe’s Siddur on special occasions.
In addition, and keeping in line with the strong emphasis that CGI Florida has in the area of Ahavas Yisroel, there will be an additional program running simultaneously, which will reward campers on a daily basis who excel in Ahavas Yisroel, with the Zechus to learn that day’s portion of Tanya, from a Tanya that the Rebbe personally distributed to the Chassidim.
The culmination of both programs will be two grand raffles, one that will be take place at the end of each three-week session. Through the generosity of members of Anash, the Head Staff have received 2 one-dollar bills of the Rebbe which will be raffled off to the campers excelling in the above areas.
“We are extremely excited to have these unbelievable rewards available to the campers this summer. It is our hope that each and every single camper who will have the opportunity to benefit from these valuable prizes will undoubtedly leave camp this summer having strengthened his personal Hiskashrus to the Rebbe, and it will lead to a very powerful effect throughout the year,” said Head Counselor Avremi Zippel.
CGI Florida is also very proud to announce an additional communication system available to parents, making it possible for parents to be personally involved on a daily basis with their son’s experience at camp. From being able to track a camper’s Mishnayos Ba’al Peh levels, to being provided with daily picture updates via our web site www.cgiflorida.com, we now also invite parents to follow CGI Florida on twitter @Cgifloirda for up to the minute updates and instant communication with camp.
Due to the renovation of several of camp’s bunkhouses, an additional 17 spaces have been made available for this summer for a limited time only! Registration and details can be found at www.CGIFlorida.com.
