With sadness we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Sholom Dovber Goldshmid of Crown Heights at the age of 86.
He is survived by his children: Moshe Goldshmid – Kfar Chabad, Basya Gottesman – Montreal, Canada, Yisroel (Shmidy) Goldshmid – Crown Heights and Mrs. Chany Kotlarsky – New City, NY.
His wife Rita passed away in May.
The Levaya will take place today, Thursday, leaving Shomrei Hadas at 1:00 pm and passing by 770 at 1:40 pm.
Mrs. Chany Kotlarsky will initially be sitting shiva at the home of her parents ob”m at 608 Montgomery Street (between Brooklyn and Kingston Avenues)

the Rebbe told him in 5708 to learn shechita. when he finished learning he asked the Rebbe if he could buy a car to deliver chickens (after he quit on his old job bc the kashrus wasnt good). The Rebbe said he should. so from then on he would wait at night in 770 until the Rebbe would leave, than he would drive the Rebbe home.
