The Rebbe would change into his leather shoes both on moitzay yom kipur & tisha b’av before kidush levana
when have you EVER seen people go home to change their shoes and then return for kidush levana?!

Just a note to mention that; Unlike Yom Kippur – when kiddush levana is said in the non-leather shoes – Tisha B’Av – it is DAVKA an inyan to say it in LEATHER shoes, NOT ones that are non-leather.
(it seems that some of the people in the pics were wearing non-leather shoes.)
