As operators of a local gemach, we constantly experience first hand both the need and the chessed that co-exist here in crown heights.
Each year as we begin the annual collection effort for our uniform gemach, we once again stand in awe of the sense of community, the kindness and the care. The families who drop off their neatly hung, gently worn uniforms, the families who have donated funds or brand new uniform items, Mr. Teich of Regency Cleaners who ensures that each skirt is pressed and Aliza Blizinsky of Judaica Creations who embroidered logos onto sweaters turning them into school sweaters, you have all been there for our clients.
You were the source behind the relief and the smiles of so many mothers and children. Now, as another year draws to a close and we work to rebuild inventory for the new school year, we turn to you to once again keep the gemach in mind as you clean out your closets, prepare to pack old uniforms away and buy new uniforms for the upcoming year.
On behalf of the many grateful parents and students, we thank you for your continued support. We couldn’t do it with out you!
Uniforms may be dropped off at the porch of 1287 Carroll St.
To schedule an appointment with the gemach please call 718-493-1740 in August and leave a message. All calls will be returned.

There is also another uniform gemach that has existed since 2007, run by Miriam Elisheva Segal. She does Bais Rivkah Pre-1A uniforms and navy jumpers.
The gemach in Bnos Menachem has been operating for years, and supplies uniforms for the school. It is located on the second floor, sorted out by size, every size in a separate locker. Every item costs one dollar. There are sweaters, vests, skirts and shirts. Speak to Detty or Mrs. Stillerman.
