For the 32nd consecutive year, R’ Nochum Markowitz coordinated the food distribution for thousands of locals and guests who attend hakafos at 770.
On Erev Yom Tov, four fully stocked trucks were parked and hundreds of boxes of food were piled high on Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue.
Markowitz provided breakfast each day of Sukkos and Simchas Torah, and food was available to all throughout Simchas Torah and Shabbos Beraishis.
This was in addition to the food he distributed on Rosh Hashana, after Tzom Gedalya, daily during aseres yemei teshuva and Motzei Yom Kippur.
What an incredible big heart Nochum has! The fact that his mishpacha supports him 100% makes it more beautiful. Zicher the Rebbe is kvelling and Nochum deserves all the brochos the Rebbe promised to those who take care of his guests.

Anyone who has spent yom Kippur in 770 especially Neil knows what it feels like by the end of the fast

HOWEVER, IT IS THE HEADQUARTERS OF LUBAVITCH , And it is where many people live. if you are going to host, have CLEANING CREWS twice daily, keeping the place clean and presentable.

Before Reb nachum began the kiddushim the break between the Rebbes farbrengen and hakofos was about 15 minutes. Once nachum began feeding the rabim outside the rebbe would break for 45 minutes or so, it my understanding from mazkirus that it was to allow the olam to eat

Rabbi Levi from OK is legendary for sponsoring the yom Kippur break fast I saw that this year was above and beyond. There was so much water before and after the fast and plenty of food. Don Yoel has a lot of zechusim for it
I was there Whatever was left motzei YT was given out to families in need hachnasas Orchim. Corn flakes, chocolate milk, OJ, apple juice, cold cuts etc

Before I went on shlichus I had the opportunity to speak to reb yerachmeal he was approachable and pleasant to speak to.
He helped me financily and I’ll always be thankful for that.
I know he just lost his father.may all the zechuaim and charity he does be a zechus for his neshama.
I was with the Jacobson family this summer in evergreen they seem like a very special family and their kids were very well behaved
