On Chof Ches Tishrei, a Hachnosas Sefer Torah was held at the new Chabad center in Newton, MA.
The Chabad center, under the leadership of Rabbi Chaim Prus opened its new 17,000 SF facility last year, and it has already received its second new sefer Torah, which was donated by the Saada family.
Some 200 members of the community attended the letter writing ceremony, and the welcoming procession. The participants included members from the local reform temple, who were taken by the energy and excitement that filled the celebration.
looks beautiful yasher koach
May you continue to go from strength to strength! All the best from your family in the land of the kangaroos.
Thank you Rabbi Pruss for bringing the light of true Torah to Newton, Massachusetts. Growing up there in the 60’s, there was no Chabad reaching out to the thousands of Jewish kids, including myself, streaming through the public school system. By some miracle, I came to frumkeit, and am thankful to be a Chabad wife, mother, and grandmother of dozens B”H. May you go from strength to strength! and continue to give the Rebbe nachas ruach.
Looks gorgeous – need to come see it. Mazel tov !
