simchas kallah

I remember the weddings that she would attend and how beautifully she always danced . (If I remember correctly it was usually with one of her daughterst) It was so regal and brought simcha to the kallah and to everyone who came. (Her sister Mrs. Taibel Lipskier also had that incredible talent. She would dance and be mesameyach the kallah.) What wonderful memories.

Mrs. Chana Baras was much more she was an inspiration

Mrs, Chana Baras came from Rabonish family of generations and mesirus nefesh on her fathers side and on her mothers side they were Dayonim and big baaley chesed and zedoka . The Rbbe ריי”צ gave her father the menagment of the yeshiva of tomchey tmimim in Giogia and the RIBNIZER REBBE WAS HER FATHERS CHEVRUTA but most of all her father raised all his children in chasidut and mesirus nefesh , hachnosas orchim , zedoka and יראת שמים
Not many families can claim that !!

She had a magnificent voice, and in Russia a renowned opera voice teacher offered to give her free lessons, but Her father Horav Boruch refused the offer fearing it might lead her to a career in the opera which would weaken her yiddishkeit. And here in the US she together with Rabbi Baras brought hundreds of Jews back to their source. May the entire illustrious family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and… Read more »
