Chabad in Israel is currently working to prepare thousands of Shalach manos packages to be distributed to families of victims of terror and widows of soldiers.
The Shluchim are coordinating thousands of volunteers who will travel on Purim day to deliver the packages to the families and bring them Purim greetings and spread holiday cheer.
A special group of volunteers came this week to help pack these gifts, a group of tourists visiting Israel from Chabad of Hunterdon, New Jersey, led by Rabbi Eli Kornfeld.
One of the volunteers said, “I am very happy to be part of this act of kindness. Although we were in Israel for a short time, this activity was very important to our group.”
