AP reports:
Seven men who worked as contract baggage handlers for El Al Airlines in New York have been charged with stealing iPads, iPhones, cash and jewelry from passengers’ luggage.
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown says Friday the Israeli airline installed a video camera in a baggage hold from April 1 to Wednesday after customers complained about missing items.
Prosecutors say the video shows defendants stuffing jewelry, cash, watches, computers and other items in their pockets and down their pants.
Authorities say thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen goods were found in their homes and cars.
Investigators say they went to one suspect’s home and recovered bottles of cologne, Valentino sunglasses, a Sony Playstation and 14 watches, including one worth $5,000.
Cameras and a Cartier watch were discovered at another defendant’s home.
What is a watch doing in ur luggage shouldn’t it be on ur hand.
people stealing luggage? what fools! thats hilarious!
You people are just absolutely hilarious! The NY Daily News clearly said that they were handlers of ASIG, an international aircraft group, who helps with luggage in various airports. The suspects happened to be commissioned in the El Al Baggage claim. These were the words of the Queens District Attorney: “I applaud El Al Airlines for taking its customer complaints seriously and helping to bring the defendants to justice.”
Let’s not be judgmental until we know the facts, shall we?
Why did they wait from April till Sept.???? After 2 3 days wasn’t enough?
I can tell you why those are at times checked, because they announce that there is no room left for your carry on and you’ll have to check it, last minute, and you have no time to remove all your valuables…. and the workers know that!
I am sure most of these items were in their carry-on’s that they were forced to check.
And now the goyim have a proof for their tainahs that we are rolling in money!
Who tells you they are Yiden?
My wife had a delayed bag in Israel a few years ago. When it arrived at the hotel it was missing a sheitel a pair of shoes and some nice costume jewelry. A month later a story broke about baggage handlers being arrested for theft. Shame.
A camera placed inside the belly of a 747 led to the arrests of contract baggage workers Tristan Bredwood, Julio Salas, Oshaine Christie, Romaine Smith, Nikosi Cunningham, Dashawn Schooler, and Udhoo Doonauth, police said.
