New Building for Playa del Carmen

After only a few short months of serving the community of Playa del Carmen, Mexico, Shluchim Rabbi Mendel and Chaya Goldberg have announced the recent acquisition of a new Chabad Center.

The new building will house the Chabad House and the Jewish Community Center, and will include a synagogue, Hebrew School, tourist center, a backpackers lounge, meat and dairy Kosher restaurants, a library, Kosher grocery shop, and social hall to host the hundreds of tourists that visit for Shabbos and holiday meals.

The building is located in the center of town, on the main Avenue, and is in close proximity to the Hotels and Hostels, making it easily accessible to all visitors.

Playa is a city with thousands of daily tourists, where Jews from around the globe are happy to find their Jewish home.

Chabad of Playa del Carmen was made possible by the generous support of Mr. George Rohor with the help of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch.
