I have a dissertation in my possession which claims the reason Dr. Sigmund Freud was ‘anti-Jewish’ is because he wanted to distance himself from ‘Yiddishkeit’ in order to promote his new healing modality: ‘Psychoanalysis.’ Vienna was somewhat (Very?) Anti-Semitic.
If this is true, then all the slur words against Dr. Freud I heard in yeshiva, years ago, are not entirely true.
Rabbi Avigdor Miller, ZT”L, said Psychoanalysis was ‘bunk.’
