Boys from Crown Heights schools Oholei Torah, Ohr Menachem and Lubavitch Yeshiva celebrated a siyum of Mishnayos Seder Moed on Monday.
The group of 6th and 7th grade boys have been studying the Mishnayos in the evenings in memory of slain Mumbai Shluchim Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivka obm.
After learning two chapters, the boys are tested in writing and receive a monetary deposit into a special ‘G’Mach Gavriel’ account.
At a Siyum held Monday in Oholei Torah, the boys were awarded certificates for their achievements, in the presence of their principals, fathers and grandfathers.
Levi Parnes, a student of Oholei Torah, said the Hadran and a Sicha from the Rebbe. Teachers Choli Rivkin and Levi Simpson were recognized for their efforts as well.
Mishnas Gavriel is a project of Igud Menahalei Yeshivos. It was founded to perpetuate the memory of Shluchim Rabbi Gavriel Noach and Rivka Holtzberg Hy”d.
