Ten Yad’s Split the Cash campaign ended last night, with the drawing being held at their headquarters in Crown Heights.
The cash pot, which was built by raffles purchased by participants, reached over $45,000, the organization said.
The raffle, for half the cash in the pot, was drawn by resident of Crown Heights and long time friend of Ten Yad, Rabbi Moishe Schmukler.
The winner is Nechama Stauber of Los Angeles, who will receive a total of $22,860.
“We would like to thank all the supporters of our Split the Cash campaign,” a spokesperson for the organization said. “Ten Yad is predominantly a community chessed organization: run by women in the community for families from our extended community. It was heartwarming to see how you rose to meet the needs of the Kallahs and their families who come to Ten Yad.”
