Ice Skating Trip as Reward

Students of Lubavitch Yeshiva of Ocean Parkway were rewarded for learning mishnayos by heart with an ice skating trip.

A new “prize menu” system instituted by the school faculty had the boys excited to participate in the program.

The students acquire points by memorizing lines and taking optional halacha quizzes.

Points are added up for prizes such as fishing, hiking and skiing trips, barbeques, ice skating and more.

This week one group redeemed their points for an ice skating trip and waterfront picnic.

“The boys had a blast, which they really earned!” said organizers. “We hope the menu system will really whet the students’ appetite to learn more Torah lines by heart than ever before.”
