Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Jacobson, spiritual leader of Congregation Bais Shmuel Chabad in Crown Heights and one of the most sought after speakers in the Jewish world, recently mesmerized a large and very secular audience at the Chabad Romono Center, in Richmond Hill, Toronto.
The subject: Marriage and love.
The Shliach, Rabbi Mendel Bernstein, introduced Rabbi Jacobson as teaching one of the largest Torah classes in the world via the Web, at TheYeshiva.net and COLlive.com.
For the following two hours Rabbi Jacobson took his audience on a journey through the story of Yaakov being deceived to marry Leah instead of Rochel and how this can help us heal the relationship crisis in our own times.
When it came to questions and answers, the Rabbi did some stand-up comedy about scenes that occur between couples. The hundreds of Jews gathered at this and beautiful new Chabad Center, came away enlightened and inspired.
