MBD’s Tomid B’Simcha is right on the money. When I finally has some money to buy a CDs I bought this album–10 years after in came out–because I remembered how amazing it was. It’s a shame Yerushalayim didnt become the hit it should have been. I remember MBD singing it at HASC 6 (it didn’t make it on the tape or video–they cut out many songs) and the crowd to a liking to it. I as well memorized the lyrics, but Im still baffled why it “make it.” Klal Yisroel together was very nice, with a few hits, but so… Read more »

the “only good thing” about piamenta is the playing. not singing!!!!

Even if you don’t like 8th day, its a bit of a stretch to call their Yallili, infamous!
And to leave MBD’s moshiach off such a list makes the list a joke

Right on Chanale!

Till today tzil v’zemar and the earlier years of Miami is my favorite boys choir!! Abie rotenber is amazing! You pinned it I totally agree with you!

March 16, 2012 7:15 pm

They were on “its min hashomaim” which was made years later

Best MBC album by miles was Besyat deshmaya. Runner up would be shabbos yerushalayim.

Top MBD album: Moshiach

Top Fried: no jew will left behind.

Corection: Name of Album
March 16, 2012 5:48 pm

Name of Album is:
Klal Yisroel Together
not Together again

However my favorite MBC album is B’Syata D’Shmaya

As far as the top 10 everybody has different taste most peoples favorite album are the albums that they grew up with or the albums that give them memories.

What?
March 16, 2012 4:44 pm

March 16, 2012 1:01 pm

chanale, do you know what infamous means? why would you describe yaalili with this word?

to #9
March 16, 2012 12:33 pm

The best selling album in Jewish music history is by far MOSHIACH from MBD!!!!! Nothing comes close. Chazak sold a lot less

Shlomo Simcha
March 16, 2012 12:11 pm

Shlomo Simcha truly has a unique and talented voice that has unfortunately not gotten the full attention it deserves.
Aneini also has some great classics

why does everyone make so much fun of me
March 16, 2012 11:46 am

in Dr. Midos (abie rottenberg) is probably the song that almost every person in the world felt (at one point or other) was made just for them

this list is classics
March 16, 2012 11:45 am

while shwekey is great he is not a classic just yet and this list has mostly cds of the eighties and nineties…

8th Day
March 16, 2012 11:40 am

Wow, refreshing to hear such honesty. 8th day are great, but they have a ways to go before they can be equated with Piamenta. I think they have the potential, but not yet.

Made marvelous midos machine together, I assume there are songs there that are sung together.

How About Chazak????????
March 16, 2012 10:19 am
Top Albums (not in any specific order)
March 16, 2012 10:09 am

Shwekey – Shomati, Yedid and Libi Bamizrach
MBD – Moshiach and Maminim
Fried – Too many but the top ones are Chazak and probably Shtar Hatonaim

list to be cont….

Huh???
March 16, 2012 10:04 am

This is definitely not a top 10 list!!!! Wheres Shwekey????????????? also MBD and Fried have better albums than whats on there… Supposedly fried Chazaks album was the best selling album in jewish history!!!!!

Interesing
March 16, 2012 9:50 am

hmm not sure I would agree with most (how did michoel streicher make the top ten?!) but I like that you did include journies, dveykus, and the choirs as the classics.

dont understnad
March 16, 2012 9:44 am

what is this story?
someones favorites?

Tomid Besimcha
March 16, 2012 9:24 am

May be MBD’s greatest album ever! On the mark!

And for recent ones, I believe Yossi Green’s 8th note is in a league of its own.

MBD
March 16, 2012 8:54 am

THE ENGLISH COLLECTION!!!
MOSHIACH!!
and AF Chazak

Valuable Hosting
March 16, 2012 8:12 am

It would be great if they can have a host on the cd to introduce each song. (Maybe the original artist, in like a biography)

I agree with #1.....
March 16, 2012 6:44 am

But Chanale, you hit the nail on the head. Yes, we do fall in the same demographic, frum female 20/30 something, but I think a majority of Jewish music listeners would agree with you. Gosh, I miss those days. Jewish Music was way better back then. Fact.

avraham frieds best album
March 16, 2012 5:13 am

was by far adarbe… such beutifull songs (hinei ma toiv, adarabe, nisht gedaiget, ki hamitzva) with such a yisishe tam. his best song in my opinion, was yedid nefesh of we are ready, and after that i would say shtar hatnoim. of coarse this is all if we dont count his yom tov erlach alboums which are on whole different level.

When is it coming out??
March 16, 2012 1:41 am

Yay I’m soo exited when is it coming out??!?!?!
I love classical Jewish music!

MBD's mashiach CD?
March 16, 2012 1:25 am

I think that is a little more popular than Tamid be simcha . And avraham fried shtar hatnoim has more hits.
