When the Attorney General of Florida Pam Bondi planned a meeting with Chaim Shacham, the new Consul General of Israel to Florida and Puerto Rico, she thought of Chabad.
She invited Rabbi Schneur Oirechman, director of Chabad of Tallahassee and Florida’s capitol district, to attend the lunch and asked if he could arrange for the meal to be kosher.
Notwithstanding the Tishrei holidays, Rabbi Oirechman pulled through, giving a warm welcome to Shacham, former representative of Israel in the plenary of the United Nations General Assembly.
Shacham has been making his rounds speaking and attending “A Gathering in Support of Israel” in the First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs, spreading Israel’s message of peace and safety.
Israel has also been one of the topics Rabbi Oirechman has been discussing over the past month when he met with the all of the Jewish members of Florida’s House of Representatives and Senate in connection with the new Jewish year.
Be happy with the story!!! Goodness gracious, must people find things wrong with everything?
where does it say it was on sukkos?
get your facts right, before trying to insult a good jew, and in turn only insulting yourself…
and there was a sukkah at the capitol in tallahassee through chol hamoed sukkos
Whenever the United Nations was in session – Usually around Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur – Chabad of Midtown hosted Consul General Shacham. He is a fine person.
AG Bondi is a terrific person, many times on the campaign trail I discussed issues like the Blaine amendment and education choice…
We would go along way in electing effective people… Adam Hasner for US Senate for Florida 2012 is a great start

Shaliach arranged kosher food – could he have gone further and arranged a sukkah?? Nothing is impossible with the Rebbe’s Shluchim!
