The Maccabeats, on tour in Australia, visited Our Big Kitchen as a location for Gift Of Life Australia – both Programs associated with Chabad Yeshiva of Sydney, to see firsthand the work being done.
The world-famous accapella singing group baked challa and spontaneously burst into the song “Naar Hayisi,” explaining that Our Big Kitchen is a place that makes sure that one should experience “Mevakesh Lechem” – begging for bread.
The group was hosted by Rabbi Dovid and Laya Slavin and Shula Endrey-Walder of Gift Of Life Australia.
love this!! i only recognize 3 maccabeats who are the others?
PARTNER IN CRIME!
I MISS THE YGC DAYS TOGETHER 😉
the song/singing was great and yes i also noticed how some could either sing or make challah but not both at once.
what actually really caught my eye though is the cool way they are braiding the challahs, sort of weaving them to make beautiful round ones!
The nicest voice of them all! 🙂
cha cha……..how men can do only one thing at once!! either make challah or sing!!
wow my best musical group – BIG FAN GUYS! KEEP IT UP
the Maccabeats sing with so much warmth, keep it up
It is wonderful to see chessed in action and to get a glimpse of Australia and the beautiful music you share with the world.
