go yossie greenfeld:)
It says that it appears in Chabad’s sefer hanigunim. There are many songs in sefer hanigunim that are not chabad exclusively.
btw, sefer hanigunim does not have the kehot logo.
They’re singing a chabad nigun like the french are singing a chabad nigun when they sing La Marseillaise
it doenst matter if its not a chabad song its a gorgeous song thats all that matters
Old Yiddish song. sung at many chazzanut concerts…
kumen di geuloh
zein di geuloh
es kumt shoin di geuloh
Yechi
The biggest difference is between “kumen di geuloh” and “zein di geuloh” in the way the “alef” of geuloh is sung. In the former, the “alef” is sung petering off and waning, while in the latter, the “alef” is strident and energetic.
there are 2 niggunim based one on the other.
the one they are singing (zol shoin…) is not specifically a lubavitcher niggun. and it is distinct with the 2nd “fal”.
the other is the lubavitcher niggun, (probably based on “zol shoin kumen”) which was sung at the Rebbe’s farbrengens and has a different 2nd fal.
this a old yiddish song
It’s an old Jewish song.
