Jewish Music at the Playhouse will be featuring the hottest thing in Jewish music today. 8th Day, the most talked about new Jewish act and their original music and video have captured the worldwide attention of Jewish music lovers everywhere.
Chances are you’ve seen the viral video of the chasidic group singing in a supermarket with jumping fish saying “yalili.” No one is sure what the song means, but it’s safe to bet that the over 1 million viewers all agree that the song makes them feel good.
This Motzei Shabbos, January 7, 2012, 8th Day will be coming to Long Island for the first time. Jewish Music at the Playhouse is a benefit show to support the work of West Hempstead Friendship Circle.
And, concert producer Rabbi Yossi Lieberman has informed COLlive, the show will contain brand new material from the now world-famous, sensational band 8th Day.
“The famed Yaalili dancers will join the band onstage, as well as the popular Rosy the drummer,” Lieberman adds. “We guarantee the night will be full of surprises.”
The show will also be showcasing a new singer named Eli Marcus, a close relative of the Marcus brothers of 8th Day.
Jewish Music at the Playhouse presents 8th Day and Eli Marcus at the Hofstra Playhouse Jan. 7th at 8pm.
