Alex Gorokhov, reporting and photographing Sukkos events in Flatbush:
100 Russian speaking Jewish kids with their parents came to celebrate Simchas Beis Hashoeiva at Mercaz Gan Isroel / Bais Yaakov Ohel Sarah located on Kings Highway and E13th Street in Brooklyn.
The school and Jewish center is run by Rabbi Shneur Zalman and Sarah Mendelsohn, Chabad Shluchim in Flatbush.
There was a fascinating magic show, music, barbecue, and dancing.

Thank you collive.com for posting the story and our pictures. I just wanted to mention that even though we have a nice percentage of Russian speaking girls, we have also American, sefardim , Persian and Israeli girls learning in our moisad.
The party was great! All my children enjoyed it! The meal was delicious!
Thank you!

B”H Holidays in our community are so warm and it is always a pleasure to join Rb. and Mrs. Mendelsohn.
I personally attended this exciting and most enjoyable Simcha Bais Hashoeiva last night at the Bais Yaakov Ohel Sarah’s Sukkah. There was a great mix of Yiddin, Americans, Israelis, Russians and others. What a blast my family had. The magician, music, dancing and huge Sukkah were a real treat. My daughter attends Bais Yaakov Ohel Sarah at 1649 E 13th Street ( Avenue P & Kings Highway ). She loves her Yeshiva. Rabbi and Mrs. Mendelsohn are a fantastic couple that are running the Yeshiva. I look forward to more warm and inviting events they will have Miyirtza Hashem.
I was at this amazing event last night. There were many Jewish people from all walks of life who were not Russian. It was a great party that really welcomed all types from the Flatbush area.
Great Job Rabbi Schneur and Sarah!
Thank you
