The popular Russian-language morning radio show, “Duet with Maestro,” was dedicated to the Lubavitcher Rebbe and the day of Gimmel Tammuz.
Aired on Davidzon Radio, the leading Russian-language radio station in the Unites States with some 300,000 daily listeners, the show highlighted the benefits of faith to physical and emotional health.
It was hosted Dr. Josef Kleynerman, a leader in the Russian-speaking Jewish community, and featured Rabbi Benzion Laskin, program director of Chamah, an organization working ith Russian Jews in the U.S. and around the world.
Rabbi Laskin, a columnist for the national Russian Jewish weekly newspaper “Forum,” has been on speaking tours to the USA, Canada, Russia, Israel, Germany and Czech Republic, where he has lectured in English, Russian and Hebrew and TV shows.
The radio show dedicated for the Rebbe had the station flooded with calls from listeners who were very touched by the Rebbe’s vision, leadership and love for all. Some even expressed their wish to visit the Rebbe’s Ohel for the first time and to deepen their connection to their roots.
