Purim 5733 Relived in Beis Rivka

The viewing of the Rebbe’s 5733 Purim Farbrengen was a most incredible and uplifting experience for the girls of Beis Rivkah in Crown Heights on Wednesday, 10 Adar II.

The initiative was inspired by one of the girls who, after watching the newly released Farbrengen on her own, decided to share the opportunity with others as well.

“Achos Hatmimim” of Beis Rivkah High School invited all the grades to join and watch the Farbrengen together for an evening event, not during school hours. Despite the predictions of many skeptical individuals who did not anticipate that in this day and age girls would have the patience to sit for hours and listen to a Farbrengen of 38 years ago, they were all in for a surprise when a great number of girls showed up, in addition to principals and teachers! In reality, it was inspiring that many girls stayed the entire time and were focused on every word of the Rebbe.

The event proved to be a true success, as one participating girl noted, “I am so glad I came out to see this Farbrengen. I definitely learned many lifelong lessons during these two hours. There is nothing more powerful than hearing a Sicha directly from the Rebbe, especially considering the fact that the Rebbe dedicated an entire Sicha in this Farbrengen to address the Jewish woman”.

We hope this will encourage others! The organizers would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Jem for enabling us to enjoy this new wonderful experience.

Watching a Farbrengen like this reminds us yet again of our ever-present wish that speedily we will be Zoiche to be at a real Farbrengen with the Rebbe, may it be Bekarov Mammosh.
