The Machon Lehor’ah in Morristown, New Jersey, the rabbinical ordination institute at the Rabbinical College of America, has just concluded another successful year under the leadership of Rabbi Chaim Schapiro.

The accomplishments of the bochurim include learning Hilchos Basar Bechalav, Taaruvos and Melicha accompanied by halachic authorities Tur, Beis Yosef, Mechaber, Rama, Shach, Taz, Pri Megodim and many other commentaries. Hilchos Shabbos will be the finishing touch.

Testing them were Kiryat Malachi’s Chief Rabbi Yitzchok Yehuda Yaruslavsky and Rabbi Dovid Shochet, President of the Orthodox Council of Ontario. Their smicha certificates will also be signed by Tel Aviv’s Chief Rabbi Israel Meir Lau.

“We are extremely proud and impressed by the diligence, efforts and Yiras Shamayim shown by the Bochurim throughout the year. We are certain the knowledge and skills which they have acquired here in Morristown will carry them throughout the coming years of their lives,” said Rabbi Moshe Herson, Head Shliach of New Jersey.

He thanked Rabbi Schapiro for all of his hard work and devotion, as well as his great effort and care for all of the bochurim’s personal needs.

“For the first time, I really enjoyed getting involved in a sugya. I never spent so many hours learning consecutively, while developing a geshmak as well. I really appreciate the Yeshiva’s care and help throughout the year,” commented one Bochur.
