Visiting in the Rain
Sunday's Visiting Day at Camp Gan Israel in Parksville, NY, ended with pouring rain, but parents and their children remained happy and cheerful even as they ran for cover. Photos

How do you determine the more “modern family” versus the “the more chassidish one” ?
“Al Tistakel Bekankan Elah Bimah Sheyaish Bo”
Looks like a lot of chabad mekuravim started sending their kids as well!
miss you SO MUCH!!!!! love one of your favorite aunts!!!!
Woohoo go Ezra!!!
I was there yesterday. Somehow the pictures of the more modern families got online – but there were mostly Chasidishe families (majority) that send there kids. There are lots of Shluchim that send there kids & wonderful Chasidishe families that send there kids to Camp GI. My son is having an amazing summer with lots more Chayus for davening, learning………….
Yes, you can complain about the hats and beards. But the better alternative is to look at how many parents from various backgrounds take pride in sending their chidren to the Rebbe’s camp. Thank you, Gan Israel. Attended CGI in 1979.
Beards, jackets, hats – my, how time does change. Pity – as Torah’s demands don’t change!
Yasher koach everybody who visited and it wasn’t so easy with the rain!
Go Mendy Spalter!
So nice to see the Kaplan boys from Ft. Lauderdale!!
Yeah, ‘cuz Shemtov’s not a Lubavitcher.
Sheesh.
Also, if you would actually look, you would see that there are actually 2 people in hat’s and jackets standing in front of canteen. But you just had to complain.
Ummm, there was a great big Dodgeball game in the Shul, or didn’t you notice?
figures…it takes people like number 10, number 12 and I am sure there are others to rain on the parade (no pun intended). comment on how nice it is to see people visiting their kids…nobody is here to measure peoples’ beards or inspecting if they have a hat on….lets continue to focus on the positives, guys. Always!
One of the most caring and sensitive people in the world. (I spent a summer with him)
AARON, YAISEF, AND SROLIK !

You are the best…From your Melbourne cousins
Nice to see all smiles. But how sad to see so many guys without beards. This would never have happened before Gimmel Tammuz.

Go Mendy Spalter!!! your the best lifeguard in the world!
Rain was forcasted a few days ago for Sunday. They knew it was going to rain. Would it have killed camp to arrange some indoor activities for the kids to do? It really wasn’t right. A complete disaster of a day.
I spy Shmuli Kahn and his cousins! Yay!
