thank you R Jacobson for a brilliant lecture – it really got me thinking – i think every woman has to do some thinking to figure out which type of opposition would actually be of help for her spouse’s personality and life situation – I think a part 2 would be helpful with practical guidelines to both men and women on how to achieve such lofty heights of real shalom

Please address the question, when and how do you go to a third party to know who’s opinion to follow?
what qualities must the third party have in addition to being respected by both parties?
thanks!

nice but perhaps incomplete

pls do a follow up part 2
describing exactly how do 2 ppl reconcile conflicting opinions after all sincere attempts to understand the others point of view?
the rebbe has 2 general guidelines for such stale-mates
1) if the matter pertains to the women domain she getsw the veto, so to the converse (for details on domains of the women or man talk to your local mashpia familiar with the rebbe’s view) …..
2) both views appoint a “sholish” whom both accept as authoritative & chanalling saysaata dshmaya lemaan shalom
