A memorial gathering to mark the shloshim of Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, obm, Chief Rabbi of Israel, was held in Chicago Tuesday.
The event was organized by Ohel Shalom and the Sephardic Community Kollel, in conjunction with other Sephardic congregations in Chicago.
Words of appreciation and recognition were given by Rabbi Shaoul Hamaoui – Rav of the Persian Hebrew Congregation, Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz – Regional Director of Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois and Rabbi Daniel J Raccah – Rav of the Ohel Shalom Torah Center.
