Renowned Chabad Lubavitch rabbi Immanuel Schochet visited Australia recently as a guest of the Rabbinical Council of Victoria.
The Toronto-based rabbi and Doctor of Philosophy has written over 30 books and lectures extensively on Jewish ethics and theology.
Australia’s JNTV caught up with the rabbi while he was in Sydney, where he shared some of his views.

We lack the basics of Judaism and Emunah, and the current educational system is doing nothing about it.
It seems that the entire Schochet family is composed from geniuses, lecturers, authors and leaders of the pack. All are high profile over-achievers with triple digit I.Q.’s. I suspect it is genetic – unless it’s something in the Toronto water.
