Seeing that the 18th day of war should equate to “chai” instead of the constant fear that the children have been under, Rabbi Gorelick hired teams of magicians and jugglers to entertain children throughout Ashkelon.
The children also read the 12 psukim, prayed that HaShem would bring security and Geulah to Am Yisrael. The parents thanked Chabad of Ashkelon, many saying that it was the first time that their children had been able to forget the war during the past few weeks.
