Last week 60 students from Bais Rebbe Junior High School in Los Angeles emarked on a winter trip to Big Bear Mountain, accompanied by teacher Mrs. Ada Cunin and Bnos Chabad leaders Mushky Labkowsky, Mushky Frankel, and Ilana Lackner.
Set for a day of snowtubing and winter sports, the bus left at 9:00 am, but never made it up the mountain.
After experiencing engine trouble, and the bus filled with smoke, the driver was forced to pull over to the side of the road, while they waited for assistance.
The group made the best of the situation, having a blast playing with snow on the road. They built snowmen and sledded down the hill on garbage bags they happened to have with them.
By the time help arrived, it was to late for snowtubing, so they headed back home.
That was one of the funnest trips I ever had in my life!

3 hr. drive – it snowed 2 days before the trip and my daughter told me this was the first time she ever saw snow!
