Leviev’s Aide Celebrates

Shloimi Peles, the personal aide to billionaire and philanthropist Lev Leviev, celebrated his son's Bar Mitzvah last night in Kfar Chabad. 5 Chief Rabbis, three Israeli ministers, 4 Knesset members, Shluchim from the Former Soviet Union and other dignitaries attended. A few Crown Heighters were spotted too. Photos

A Billionaire came to Olam Haba and wanted to use his money. They told him here we don’t take $$$. We only take receipts.

Yasher Koiach to this wonderful fellow Mr. Peles, who must be working very hard during these trying times. I am proud to see that Mr. Leviev employs a capable lubavitcher as his right hand and places his trust in the able hands of hard working yungerleit. Mr. Peles should be admired for gaining the respect of leaders in the community. May all of our children learn the value of hard work and loyalty to our employers and may we have many more like him. (Disclosure: The author does not know this fellow nor has he ever heard mention of his… Read more »

funny how you all comment without reading the article.
It is not Leviev’s son’s bar mitzvah, it is his assistant’s son. And all the people are there to say thank you for all their good work.

“respect”
i dont disagree
but every jew, rich or poor, are the same in hashems eyes
i dont know how many mitzvos leviev did with his money but i know its probably alot
but what is “respect” is that the way to show “respect”?
like the antennas of all the rabbis and whoever came, go flying when they hear levievs making a bar mitzva
ill stop now bcoz i dont want to start loshon hora
“kvoid chachomim ,yincholu”. “kevoid gevirim yincholu”….?

what do you mean? It says in shulchan aruch that you have to treat rich people with respect! Now for him that respect that he needs is for all those people coming to his sons bar mitzva so whats wrong with that??? Think POSITIVE!

levievs his father
but i agree with you 3 – and 4
money is temporary, leviev is a good jew like ALL the jews, why should he be treated differently bcoz he ha$? when moshiach comes, and in olam haba, all the $ wont be counted
but i know levievs done lots of great things and nedovosfor all sorts of orginizations and i know THAT counts! keep using your gift from hashem for good things, leviev!

is that so nice? because this boy is levievs son, because of that every1 that matters suddenly appear and suddenly this boys face (or rather the important guests faces) comes on every news website
EVERY single jewish soul is important, it doesnt matter how wealthy his father is. now go look at the diff between levievs kids bar mitzva and some regular shliach or not even a shliach, any jew’s bar mitzva
ENOUGH CHITZOINIUS!!! time for us to realize that money doesntbuy everything

ah
February 18, 2009 5:14 am

now since leviev is someone important, all important rabbis come to this bar mitzva hoping to kvetch a donation….?
btw whos this bar mitzva who has every1 that matters by his celebration?

bar mitsvah or chasuna?
