119 Jewish children from around the world took part in iParade, a Jewish children’s creative competition, presented by COLlive.com and Tzivos Hashem.
Using varied mediums, from sophisticated computer programs to colored markers, contestants depicted Jewish themes of Torah and Mitzvos, as well as promos for the Great Lag B’Omer Parade.
Thousands of votes were cast in an online ballot by COLlive readers around the world. Voting will conclude just before Shabbos.
The winner is Chaya Lipszyc, 10, daughter of the Shluchim to Woodbury, New York, and a student in Grade 5 at Bnos Menachem in Crown Heights.
She will be flying on a helicopter Sunday over The Great Parade at 770 Eastern Parkway.
Another rider will be a Jewish child from a New York City public school who won COLlive.com’s separate competition for participants of NCFJE’s Released Time program.
The second and third place winners, drawn by a raffle for all the contestants, will win a collection of 75 Jewish Children’s books and a collection of 25 Jewish Children’s books, respectively.
The second and third place winners raffle drawing will be held Tuesday in Crown Heights.
Honorable mention: Nissi Lepkivker of Crown Heights, who got the most votes but will marching in the Great Parade as a General in Tzivos Hashem.
