Sunday, August 9th was the first ever Family Night at Chabad at the Beaches in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Over 50 adults and 30 children and teens attended.
Families were provided with a wonderful meal by gourmet cook, Mrs. Zahava Zrihen and her daughter Nicole.
After dinner, Shliach Rabbi Nochum Kurinsky described the heroism of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, whose passing was commemorated that evening. He encouraged participants to look at their own lives, at the things they value, and find the courage to take a stand to see through what is right.
The evening included a bingo game for adults and children which featured Jewish holidays and their symbols. Afterwards, the children went outside to participate in races and run an obstacle course. At the same time, the adults played a fast paced game of Taboo.
The evening was a tremendous success as many of the participants requested another Family Night at Chabad be scheduled in the future.
