The International Kinus Hashluchim is reaching out to Lubavitchers and bochurim in the Tri State.
For the very first time, a public viewing of Sunday’s gala banquet will be held in the Oholei Torah ballroom in Crown Heights.
In addition, as COLlive reported in the past, the Kinus is inviting Lubavitchers and Jews from all over to take part in a unique completion of a Torah on Thursday, Nov. 12.
It is being written in memory of Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg HY”D, the slain Chabad Shluchim to Mumbai, India.
NYPD is preparing for a crowd of 4000 men, women and children, COLlive was told.
The siyum will begin at Oholei Torah, 667 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, at 8 PM.
At 9 PM, the precession will march to Lubavitch Headquarters, 770 Eastern Parkway, with traditional hakofos, live music and dancing.
Phone calls, house mailing and posters are made to many homes in Crown Heights inviting them to join.
The organizers, Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, is expecting Jews from Boro Park, Williamsbourg, Queens, Flatbush and Manhattan.
This is in addition to some 3000 Shluchim in New York for the convention and their lay leaders – head of communities and donors.
