Shluchim to Buckhurst Hill, Rabbi Odom and Henny Brandman, created what they say is the world’s first Menorah made of recycled cell phones.
The Menorah, lit publicly at the Buckhurst community Chanukah celebration, stands 10 feet tall, and is made of 500 cell phones.
The idea for the Menorah came from Andrew Kennard, a member of the Buckhurst community and was coordinated by Devorah Leah Benson and built by Marc & Arnold Ordever of Graphic Aspects.

The idea of this menorah is to now sell the cell phones and raise money for chabad- do u have other ideas of ways we can raise money without being so creative as you put it? we’re more than happy to hear,
Happy Chanuka:)

These phones will make money for his chabad house.
Keep up the good word Rabbi Brandman a real Mentch
I agree. Last year he did a whisky menorah – all the branches etc. That was cool and clever. This is just making a base and filling it up. You could do that with anything. Not so clever. Be more innovative.
go benny u made it!!! it looks great 🙂
luv ur #1 straberry blonde fan in new york 😉
This is getting out of hand, It’s one thing to have an ice sculptured menorah with a message, I think we should stop being so creative.
Happy Chanukah
It’s not made of cellphones, there are cellphones inside it. Just saying.
Go Devorah leah Benson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and cute!
Really proud of you,
Sydney mesivta bocherim
