Over the course of Yud and Yud Alef Shvat, 6 busloads brought the 400 students in Beth Rivkah Montreal’s Elementary and High School to senior residences and Jewish Day Schools in 20 different locations, to bring the light of Torah and Chassidus to Jews across the city.
Rabbi Yosef Minkowitz, principal, said: “The response has been heartwarming. Before the students had even returned to the school, we received phone calls requesting for the students to come back again. The program director at one location exclaimed excitedly: ‘There is nothing like Chabad, no one comes close to the natural warmth and love of these children’.”

It was great to see photo of the kids at my ‘old’ school involved with a fun experience in Yiddishkeit. Beis Rivkah was such a positive experience growing up with all the shabbatons, the melava malkas, color wars and amazing trip to New York. I remember as kids we were so proud of our school – the love of yiddishkeit and chassidishkeit that we felt was given to us by Rabbi and Mrs. Minkowitz. Beis Rivkah Montreal is a school that taught with Chayus and enthousiasme what it means to be a Bas Chabad of today.Rabbi and Mrs. Minkowitzs’ personal example of “ibergebenkeit” for the Rebbe’s Inyonim continues to inspire me on my Shlichus today.
