Today, Wednesday, Jewish public school students were given a taste of the upcoming Passover holiday.
This was accomplished by learning hands-on the ins and outs of the holiday with their devoted instructors and by each child receiving a pound of hand baked Shmurah Matzos, enough for his or her family.
The Released Time Program of Greater New York, under the auspices of NCFJE, distributed a total of 900 pounds of Matza to its students and their families and Jewish staff in the Public Schools.
“These huge crackers look awesome, I can’t wait to taste them on Passover!” a student from PS 128 was caught excitedly saying.
