i was thinking the same thing, this is the first time i was at a L’chaim, wedding, bar Mitzva that i actually understood the maamor. Maybe more buchrim should chaazer the maamor in English so they actually understand what they are saying… just an idea

I dont know you personally but it’s gppd to see more and more people using houses for L’Chayims instead of major halls etc.

Maamer
May 8, 2009 12:20 pm

This is the first Simchah (L’chaim, wedding, Bar-Mitzvah, whatever) where I actually followed and understood the Maamer that the chosson was reciting.

He did a fabulous job elucidating the difference between Torah (brachah) and Tefillah, hamshacha m’lmaalah l’matah vs. m’lmatah l’maalah, and the reason Rashbi required praise before asking for rain, all according to Pnimiyus HaTorah.

We all have much to learn from this chosson. May his home be filled with the light of Chassidus.
